That’s right, yo! (I’ve been watching way too many episodes of Breaking Bad). Well not really. No matter how open to all the weirdness that is fashion I am, I still cannot get on board with the “classic” crocs. Though the new models I saw are actually not bad at all. But that is totally off the point.
Continuing the outfits from the botanical garden, I give you – crocodiles and palms.
This skirt happened almost two years ago with Versace for H&M. I hadn’t managed to wear it last summer. But I made sure that it did not lay around my closet this year. Silk in summer – very important. And how about those metal corners! Oh the attention to detail…
I went the easy way with the outfit – white t-shirt – done. Plus, you cannot overstretch your brain in the heat, while making too many complicated decisions. So the easy way – totally justifiable. The bag and shoes are from yesterday’s post, because – see previous sentence.
The bracelet is from ADR for H&M collection and is pretty flashy for my taste. But I managed to squeeze it in a couple of outfits this summer.
And last but not least – the shoes! Crocheted Toms. I am insanely happy with them – were my hand down favorite shoes this summer – proper ventilation – also very important!
I have no idea why, but cactuses (cacti!) seemed fitting in this post, so enjoy:
and some more…
Outfit: t-shirt – Esprit, skirt – Versace for H&M, shoes – Toms, Bag – vintage, Bracelet – ADR for H&M
so after two years of living here, we’ve finally managed to get our butts to this magical place that is botanical garden in Marburg.
Naturally it was only fitting to wear something with flowers. I got this dress on a disappointing shopping trip in Dusseldorf, where I was working at the time. It was the only thing I got that day and a colleague of mine came back empty handed.
It was pretty damn hot that day, which turned us into demotivated snails – we were shuffling around the place while being on a constant lookout for benches in the shade. Still the experience was really nice. I liked the green houses a lot, especially the butterfly area and the Mexico with all the cactuses (I KNOW, it is cacti). More pictures still to come.
I am also expanding my collection of the hats, but I still don’t have anything that would have gone well with this outfit. The sun was really blazing and we, of course, went during the hottest hours of the day. I just had to have something to cover my head, even though I was not really feeling that the hat goes with the whole outfit. Oh well, at least I can say, I am not a total fashion victim.
Outfit: dress- H&M, bag – vintage from grandma, hat – Seeberger, shoes – Toms.
aaaah, the temperatures are finally rising and lighter clothing is in order. And though it is starting to get unbearable to work at the office, because why would the employees need air conditioning…35 degrees is pretty acceptable, I will not let it bring me down.
This is not the work outfit, just so you know. I wore this to take a walk in the town and get some ice cream.
A little about the outfit – I got the top and jeans a couple of years ago. I like the looser top, so you get a bit of breeze. I find such tops much more pleasant in the heat. The stripes are always cool to wear, methinks. And nothing screams summer more than the jean shorts.
Sorry, no close up of the shoes yet. Got them for a great price from amazon. I have a thing for yellow lately, but the stuff that I like is usually gone in that color. So in this case I got the next best thing – mint. Apparently it was on quite a roll during the last couple of months in the blogosphere…which almost made me NOT to get them in this colour
And finally – the HAT! Regular baseball caps just do not work for me somehow. So this floppy hat and baseball cap hybrid was perfect. And, of course, ON SALE! Now that I see it in the pictures, it gives me a bit of a little red riding hood vibe.
Outfit: top and shorts – H&M from couple of summers ago, shoes – Puma, hat – Ganni.
this is my interpretation of ballerina outfit. The skirt ist not really a tutu, but I think it works. A body or however you may call it also suits the purpose and the shoes are called after ballerinas so, we’re good.
Found this thang on sale on zalando. It is my now go to top for work. It is conservative, but with a certain flare – a bit of nakedness in the back, sailor collar in the front (sorry for the wrinkled shot – I do not have a stylist on the shoot), tight, but not too tight.
As per usual – goofy photos, because who wants to be serious.
some more mug shots:
and one more photos, because my new lens is that awesome:
Outfit details: Top/body – Ganni, skirt – United Colors of Benetton, shoes – Pretty Ballerinas, bag – cannot remember, something from yoox.
I am a fan of pink. I really don’t get it, why pink ist considered lame and women who wear pink usually regarded as simple and what not. Pink is for baby girls…Also, everyone immediately starts talking about Barbie. I think pink is awesome. Such a vibrant and fun colour. And Barbie, she got style.
So let us start with the visuals of the pink shoes. These are not exactly Barbie pink, but they are in-yo-face enough. I love the retro feel from a clunky heel and round toe. And they are comfortable. Even if I have an appointment on the other side of the factory, I can wear these on that day, without having to worry about how I am going to walk there.
And here is the rest of the outfit. I actually wore this to work last week. Pink and green is the color combination, which brings that feeling of almost summer.
And some more clothes from the family of pink-purplish-redish whatever – a skirt and a bag.
Some more retro with the grandma jacket and huge buttons. And it turns out to be a pretty decent outfit.
And to conclude the story, some awkward shots. Because that’s what happens when you take pictures. Keepin’ it real.
I am not so much with the words today, but I really really wanted to post these pictures.
Outfit: jacket – Monton, button down – I think from Pull and Bear, skirt – Sisley, bag – don’t remember anymore, from Yoox.com, shoes – Zign.
And here is the lazies outfit I wore in a while. I usually wear just work clothes every day and something like this happens only on the weekends. Wore this to grab a burger at our favorite diner.
Outfit: T-shirt – Diesel (c/o the husband), Pants – H&M, Sneakers – Converse, Bag – Kelly Moore
I am loving the 90s feel all over the virtual fashion world. Platform shoes, t shirts, distressed denim…My t-shirts are usually fitted to a degree…you know – women’s t-shirts. I decided to step a bit out of my comfort zone and embrace the 90s – as in big t-shirts. I used to wear such shirts with leggings back in the day.
Let us talk pants here as well. I saw theses weird thangs on H&M sale last year and since then they’ve been my favorite summer pants. They are part chinos part cargo pants part I have no idea what. The only mildly irritating thing is – they stretch too much and turn baggy. But oh well – comfort is the bestest.
And one more nod to the 90s – high tops. I’ve had a thing for high tops for a couple of years now and was looking for those perfect ones. These awesome converse are from Marimekko collection. Found them for a great price on asos back in February. Here is a little behind the scenes story about the collaboration.
A few more details of the outfit – the awesomeness that is this indigo bag (it is insanely comfortable to carry) and some more weirdness of my pants – zippers!
…some more of the t-shirt..
and the bag again…
I wrote about camera bags already ages ago. A couple of years ago the market was quite poor, most of the bags were just of that extremely sporty type, all velcro and what not. And when I discovered Kelly Moore bags, I immediately put them on my wish list. But since the bags were shipped from the USA, I was not sure if I should order – too much fuss with customs, returns etc. Plus they are not exactly budget bags. So I waited. A couple of weeks ago, when I got a new lens and additional motivational kick to take pictures and continue with this littlo blog, I decided to google the camera bags again. And what do you know, I found an online shop that stocks proper camera bags. They have a really nice selection of bags. I would not say awesome, because to be frank, such camera bags have still a way to go. Especially when it comes decorative details. But I am glad that there are many more options now available. Plus, the service is really amazeballs.
So. Without further ado – my new 2 Sues bag!
I had my choice narrowed down to two bags – 2Sues and Songbird. While Songbirds was of such a vibrant blue colour, which I love, and in general looked very cool, I found it to be a tad uncomfortable. I do not like carrying my handbags messenger style and it was too bulky under my arm. So the choice was obvious – 2Sues it was. I like that it is slouchy and has so many bells an whistles (but if you visit Kelly Moore website and watch videos about the bags, you will see that all the bags are equipped with pockets for all purposes imaginable. I do not want to go into too much detail, because the videos do speak for themselves. You can take a tour around the 2Sues bag either on the official website or on the photoqueen online shop.
Outfit post to come.
I continue to freak out my colleagues and people around me in general, or at least make them lift their eye brows. Because why would someone wear weird ass white shoes and why do you need to wear ripped pants? 80s much? Yeah, bitches – 80s, FTW!
So I put on my moon boots (I have no idea why I call them that, they just remind me of astronaut boots for some reason) and go about my business earning looks. Which, I must say I am slowly learning to ignore. If I do notice them, then they just make me smile.
Outfit: jeans -H&M, top – asos, jacket – retro jeans, sneakers – MMM for H&M, bag – Sisley
I wanted high tops for quite a while now and when MMM for H&M were available for purchase, I did not think much about it.
I mean com’on! It is the re-edition of actual Margiela shoe!
They are pretty amazeballs fashionwise, but I do need to figure out how to wear them, since they are not that comfy. Not something you would expect from sneakers…Need to loosen them laces in the front a bit, so my wide feed would feel more welcome. The leather is pretty stiff, so I cannot lace them up all the way to the top, because then they press on the back of my legs But with some compromise they are quite wearable, so I do not regret this purchase. Anyway, Marty McFly would approve, don’t you think?
Bee-tee-double-u, notice the difference in the photos? I finally got a proper lense! Hence, the outfit post and even some more to come.
Just a partial outfit post – only outer layers, named after my beret.
Just some info on the outfit, due to the lack of insporation – I always wanted a trench coat, but of course it could not be normal, as in classy. This one is awesome – was a gift for my last birthday from myself – the lining can be taken out, so you can wear it all year round (unless it is really freezing) and it is of all kinds of funky colors. So – good enough for work, but it does not make me sink into depression, just because it is all black.
The scarf is from around 5 years ago – I got it in India. Some random mittens from amazon.com, called Guru or something like that. Burgundy turtleneck sweater peeking from behind the scarf is from H&M on sale and has turned into a favorite. Knee high socks, I think from asos, but I am not sure anymore. My trusty Timberland boots and the Free people beret, called – the sausage dog…OK OK there is no THE, but I got it because of the name and it is warm and funky…
And the most important thing – the bag. I got it on zalando-lounge for 24 Euros! I’ve been looking for a faux fur bag for several years now and this was such an epic steal. I am ridiculously happy with it – chic yet crazy. By Patrizia Pepe.
I mean litterally, when you sleep and dream of fashion. A while back I dreamed something about Anna Wintour and wearing socks with my heels… (which looks cool, but I feel sorry then for the stretched out shoes).
A couple of nights ago I dreamed that someone had stole my pretty ballerina shoes (both pairs!) and placed some of my old shoes in the shoe boxes. And this happened at work in a changing room (which we do not even have)…
