THE Leggings

Standard

I finally figured out my password to my gmail account for the gallery with all the blog photos. I think I harassed someone accidentally, because it appears that I had forgotten my username as well and send requests about forgotten passwords and account unlocking to Google about someone else accounts…

THE leggings and what an odyssey it was to get them.. I was sitting half a day on November 17th clicking refresh every couple of minutes, since the website of H&M was not able to handle all the crazy shoppers.

Guess what? After the package arrived, surprise surprise – leggings were in a totally different size than I ordered! I was really disappointed and pissed. Who can mix up 36 with 42?! There was immediate rushing to the computer to order another pair. And of course 36 had already sold out. So I got 38 instead. Then after a couple of weeks the package came again. Oh joy! Tearing of a package and!..huh? Am I missing something? There was supposed to be a bag with some extremely bright seizure inducing colours here. Turns out – they sent me a long ugly coloured too big in size cardigan!

Anyway, I did not want to do anything anymore with H&M online store for this particular item(of course I called and yelled at them that I do not want to buy this thing anymore..another long story), so I ordered them on Ebay. Of course, I could have waited for ladies to return the stuff, since they had realized by now that they will not wear the clown leggings (I saw such comment on the interwebs – apparently clowns wear such pants..I thought they wear huge wide leg ones..whatever) and I could have gotten them eventually and maybe even on sale. But since I was really really really obsessed with those damn leggings and really really really pissed with the store, that I did not care anymore that I had to overpay on Ebay.

So. Here they are! (drums) The epic leggings from the epic Versace for H&M collection.

Naturally we are not experiencing the weather for suitable for the above outfits yet, but the world deserves to see.

Wearing:

The first picture: H&M dress, THE leggings and asos wedge shoes.

The second picture: shirt from my husband’s closet, belt from my mom’s closet, THE leggings and the Pretty Ballerinas. There is also a Desigual clutch in my hands. Nevermind the hair thing on my wrist.

So there.

Shirt dress and ankle booties

Standard

So, I’ve finally got a chance to debut my ankle boots on the blog. They are awesome and I wear them with everything – skirts, jeans, shorts you name it. The annoying part is that they have a cut out part on the side, so when wearing pants or leggings I have to dig well to find proper nylon socks to wear with the shoes (as I mention in a post about socks – I don’t own any black ones). With skirts and shorts – totally different story. Colourful tights and socks spice up outfits perfectly!

Outfit: top – H&M, shirt dress – Sisley, leggings – Esprit, parka – Asos pac-a-parka, ankle booties – Ashley London.

The dress itself is a bit weirdish. It is not cut as normal shirt dress, but it has a rather bubbly butt area..and a clip button to button on the side, which makes it shorter and assimetrycal.

In summer I wear this dress with flat sandals or ballerina flats.

And here are the shoes, wonderful shoes. Sigh…When I was trying them out back in February (or March), a lot of small stones got stuck in the sole ๐Ÿ˜ฆ This is how Germans save themselves from falling on slippery snow…by throwing lots of small stones on the pavement. My poor shoes…

This turned out quite nicely.

Much to learn in the posing area…

I have no idea how those personal style bloggers do it with taking pictures in the streets. Especially with the tripod. Good thing I have a photographer…Easier to handle all the staring :).

Cheers.

Socks, wonderful socks

Standard

I am so glad that socks are making a comeback. I don’t own any black socks (well, maybe a one pair at most), but I never have the chance to show them off. But now… ๐Ÿ™‚ Socks were all over runways. FERY GOOD! (I will not explain this internal joke, I just use this phrase a lot.)

I love that the socks were showed off, but there is one but. I would never stuff my besocked feet into sandals or shoes because of one very simple reason – the shoes would stretch and when I would want to wear them without socks, they would have turned into overstretched uncomfortable to wear shoes. Since my budget does not stretch as the shoes might, I need to consider the practical side too. So, up until know the only option of fancy legs were tights. But I abandoned wearing fancy tights few years ago. (Now starting to pick up on this old habbit again)

Back in January I bought a pair of great shoe boots (or booties as I’ve read on the internets) from Shelly’s (they deserve a separate post). And now I can show off my socks, that were hiding in knee high boots and under jeans, too! In the above and below pictures you can see my collection (not full) of socks I own. I also ordered some colourful tights a few days back. My Autumn will not be moody, that’s for sure ๐Ÿ™‚

All of the socks (except for one pair) are of Lithuanian brandย  Skinija. I just love their designs and quality. Unfortunatelly their website is not too great, but I hope my photos speak for themselves. So if you have a chance to visit Lithuania, you should be able to find these socks in any supermarket.

The grey socks on top are over knee socks. I asked my friend to buy them and bring them from London (since we do not have Top Shop here and other over knee socks are really expensive – roll eyes out) when she would come to my wedding. They are awesome and already made a debut during the dinner after the wedding (not sure ifย  there are any outfit pictures, because I was not taking any pictures…but I am sure I will repeat the outfit).

I also looked up tights on the internets and rediscovered this brand of tights called Veneziana. I think it’s a Polish brand, judging by the domain pl :). I used to wear tights from them back in Lithuania. I remember I was not too facinated by the quality, but the design really compensated for this flaw.

And I was looking up leggings too and discovered this cute and wonderful brand called Pepper tree. I’ve never heard of them before, just found them on amazon.de. And now I am eyeing this pair of leggins ๐Ÿ˜€

So, recommendations for Autumn – colourful socks, tights or leggings and ankle boots to show them off! Enjoy!

Cheers.
