Cord

Standard

Cord is my best friend, when the temperatures plummet. It doesn’t attract cold, unlike jeans. And if it is on sale – go for it. Just go for it.

Ok, so first – the nicer pictures. Nevermind the hair on the face.

I found the pants while browsing on amazon. Who does not want pants reduced to 18€?! I was a bit paranoid at first, because who reduces pants to 18?! And people were complaining that the quality is not so awesome. I am quite happy though. No ripped pockets or anything.  Does not stretch too much. The only thing I had to do is to take the pants to the tailor and get them shortened. Since I had a bunch of stuff in the To alter pile anyway, it was no biggie. And the result is great – love the new length and the pants do not wrinkle up anymore! I am still contemplating on getting them in another colour. Because it is a well known fact, that winter is coming and not all pants cost 18€.

Here are some awkward pictures… Me picking up trash from the floor etc.

Wore this outfit to work. At first I had a bit of a difficulty styling the pants, because the waist is higher, than that of all of my other pants. And the proportions can look a bit awkward. But I think this one worked out pretty well.

And, of course, close up of the shoes. Pointy toes!

Outfit: blouse – Second Female, cords – also Second Female, blazer – H&M, pumps – Vagabond, bag – Zara.

Cheers.

Jean shorts

Standard

There was quite a huge trend last summer methinks, where almost all blogs and fashion mags where jumping on a cut offs’ wagon. I love jean shorts myself, but had to wait it out until the trend died down. When it is on a roll, the outfit will be lost in a see of the same stuff everyone wears. Dunno…would make it less special or would feel like mimicking.

So anyway. I finally got myself some awesome jean shorts on H&M sale. Don’t think they are summer appropriate though – the material is quite thick. So just after I got them in November or December, they turned into my Autumn uniform.

Wearing: sweater and shorts – H&M, button down – Etam, boots – Timberland.

Paired with opaque tights was very weather appropriate (and I do dress weather appropriate 99% of the time).

Let’s talk boots now. I did not have any flat shoes for the transitional (or however you want to call it) weather. When it is no longer warm enough to wear ballerinas, but not quite the time for the boots with fur.

I am really happy with this acquisition – I am wearing the boots all the time – they are and look awesome, so cost per wear is reducing as we speak. The 150Eur price tag is completely justified and approved. I had to go half a size up though, cause my usual size 38 (UK 5) was a bit narrow and I like to keep the option open to wear more than one pair of socks without compromising the blood flow to and from my feet.

I will leave all the responsible and green aspect of the boots aside. Cause even though there are partly recycled materials used in the production of the boots, yet those boots are not made locally blah blah blah and not sure if the recycling would compensate for the carbon footprint due to transportation and what not. I just think that these are good looking boots of great quality and I am sure I will be wearing them for years to come. Also not bad, that a couple of plastic bottles where turned into parts of the shoe, right? And I said I would leave this aside..whatevs.

Here is a detailed shot of a sweater. All of my sweaters are sortta shape revealing and lately I felt like I need to get some stuff, that is looser. The colour is something I’ve been drawn to for a while and I like the littlo pocket.
Not sure how long the sweater is going to last, since the quality ist not superb, but I think it already paid off, cause I wear it “ALL THE TIME” (HOW ANNOYING IS THIS PHRASE?!)

Cheers.
