Outfit post. Wedding.

Standard

So, we were not too lucky with the weather, but for picture time at least it stopped raining 🙂 We went to the castle of Paffendorf for some nice surroundings. (I put the breakdown of the outfit at the end of the post.)

Here we are sitting in front of the castle. Behind us is a very nice park.

I kept changing the shoes, because the ones that I got for the ceremony were so uncomfortable to walk in. It is very weird, because otherwise they are very comfy and do not hurt. But the process of actual walking is very inconvenient, despite the practice at home. So I guess these shoes will wait for a sitting down occasion to be taken out.

Since I am not a white dress type of bride and just wanted something unconvetional, that goes with my shoes that I had already ordered, I spent quite a lot of time on the internets looking for a dress. I had a lot of choices, mostly a one coloured dress or a shirt and skirt combination. You know, make the shoes stick out. Unfortunatelly everything seemed too simple for my taste. Once I saw this Eucalyptus dress, I decided that this is the one. Unfortunately it was a similar odissey as with my shoes. Asos did not have my size or colour. So I was googling all over to find it. Eventually I found it on Ebay in my size and the location of the dress was around 30 km from where I live 🙂 It was definitely a sign. It cost me around 29Euros inculding shipping!

I love that the dress is a bit puffed up, so I did not need to buy a petticoat and I can wear it as a regular dress, not just hang it in the closet for eternity to remember that one day that I wore it. The dress has six buttons in front so it is easy to put on. I think on some fancy occassion I could wear it as an overcoat or smth. 🙂

Aprons were a gift from my sister-in-law. They are quite awesome, everyone loved them 😀

My witness, who was also a photographer, said that the rubber boots are the best part of the outfit 😀

In the above picture – we wanted to have some serious schoolchildren expressions, but we could not stop smirking 😀

And here are the outfits that we were wearing during the ceremony.

My outfit: dress – Eucalyptus, shoes – Irregular choice, earrings – gift from my cousin (around two years ago), parka – pac-a-parka from asos. I grabbed a parka for a short walk to the town hall (much too fancy of a word to describe the actual thing).

My husband’s (!) oufit: shirt and jacket – H&M, jeans – Mustang (inherited from deceased uncle), shoes – converse.

My mom loved my parka so much (you can pack it into the small pouch that is sown on the inside of the parka itself), that asked me to get her one too, unfortunatelly they are not available anymore…

We had few stressfull days (especially after the wedding, because our dear pet ferret died the next day – rest in peace our good bear), so I am sad, tired and do lack inspiration to post. I hope my imaginary readers will forgive me.

Cheers.

Outfit post. Rain…Again…

Standard

So, yesterday it was raining cats and dogs, so to speak. We sat all day at home and played Borderlands on PS3. Since non of the food we had at home, suited our taste that evening, we decided to go for pizza. Pizza place is just 3 minutes of walking distance from our place and I wanted to take few pictures of rainy day suitable outfit, so we were forced to go outside. Here’s what came out (plus some amateur tuning).

Pac-a-parka, jersey top and bangle – Asos, jeggings and umbrella – Esprit, rubber boots – Be only from Amazon.de, earrings – from India.

Here is me making a face while waiting for pizza. And the zebra bangle is visible (I am so on trend 😀 Animal prints rule all).

And this is just another shot that I liked. Judging from my experience of reading blogs, I always stick to the ones with lots of pictures. So I will try to achieve this on my blog too. Less writting, more showing.

So, coming back to the outfit description. The parka is really awesome – you can pack it in a pocket, that is sown in on the inside. There are still some left on sale. I saw something similar, just a bit more expensive on topshop website too.

The jersey top is just awesome – soft and warm and grey 😀 And jeggings fit very well into long boots and are stretchy and comfortable. The boots unfortunatelly are a bit too big (I had to go down a size, but they are still a bit large), but I just couldn’t be bothered sending them back a second time for exchange.

So, that’s that for a rainy day – something water resistant and a bit of colour.

Cheers.

p.s. I should really start coming up with names for my outfits…otherwise soon I will start experiencing problems with distincting them.

I haven’t figured out the strategy for taking pictures of my outfits yet. It is quite dark in our apartment and I need to do some scouting in the neighbourhood for suitable locations. So for now, just pictures of clothes on the floor (and supposedly fancy picasa tuning) 😀

After a long period of bright colours, lately I’ve been experiencing a thing for all things grey and black. But added a splash of colour, in order not to blend in with the grey rain 🙂

The sweater is from H&M. I got it in early spring in Cologne.

The dress is from H&M, I bought it last year in Düsseldorf.

And of course, crazy rubber boots from amazon for rainy day to keep me dry and smiling.

Cheers.

Rainy days

Standard

Since the weather for the past few days was totally crappy, I was looking up cute rainy day thingies on the internets (LOLspeach might appear on this blog occasionally) :). Since continous rain tends to get me depressed, colourful and sweet things can have quite an effect on my mood, when all I want is to crawl back in bed in the morning.

So, samurai umbrella would be quite fitting, if you just want to be left alone, especially while waiting for (or are in) the public transport (Be afraid! Be very afraid!).

And this sweet umbrella stand (holder?) would give you a mood boost, before leaving for work. Aaaaaw, it’s raining!

And of course – dry feet are essential. Rubber boots FTW! I’ve got myself some funky light blue rubber boots with flowers all over 🙂 Goes well with grey and black jackets and people tend to give me looks 😀 While browsing for a nice example, I found these adorable boots.

I’m not sure about the colour, but I really like the boot itself. I think, that simple rubber boots are also a great option, as long as they are of bright colour.
