aaaah, the temperatures are finally rising and lighter clothing is in order. And though it is starting to get unbearable to work at the office, because why would the employees need air conditioning…35 degrees is pretty acceptable, I will not let it bring me down.
This is not the work outfit, just so you know. I wore this to take a walk in the town and get some ice cream.
A little about the outfit – I got the top and jeans a couple of years ago. I like the looser top, so you get a bit of breeze. I find such tops much more pleasant in the heat. The stripes are always cool to wear, methinks. And nothing screams summer more than the jean shorts.
Sorry, no close up of the shoes yet. Got them for a great price from amazon. I have a thing for yellow lately, but the stuff that I like is usually gone in that color. So in this case I got the next best thing – mint. Apparently it was on quite a roll during the last couple of months in the blogosphere…which almost made me NOT to get them in this colour
And finally – the HAT! Regular baseball caps just do not work for me somehow. So this floppy hat and baseball cap hybrid was perfect. And, of course, ON SALE! Now that I see it in the pictures, it gives me a bit of a little red riding hood vibe.
Outfit: top and shorts – H&M from couple of summers ago, shoes – Puma, hat – Ganni.
I continue to freak out my colleagues and people around me in general, or at least make them lift their eye brows. Because why would someone wear weird ass white shoes and why do you need to wear ripped pants? 80s much? Yeah, bitches – 80s, FTW!
So I put on my moon boots (I have no idea why I call them that, they just remind me of astronaut boots for some reason) and go about my business earning looks. Which, I must say I am slowly learning to ignore. If I do notice them, then they just make me smile.
Outfit: jeans -H&M, top – asos, jacket – retro jeans, sneakers – MMM for H&M, bag – Sisley
I wanted high tops for quite a while now and when MMM for H&M were available for purchase, I did not think much about it.
I mean com’on! It is the re-edition of actual Margiela shoe!
They are pretty amazeballs fashionwise, but I do need to figure out how to wear them, since they are not that comfy. Not something you would expect from sneakers…Need to loosen them laces in the front a bit, so my wide feed would feel more welcome. The leather is pretty stiff, so I cannot lace them up all the way to the top, because then they press on the back of my legs But with some compromise they are quite wearable, so I do not regret this purchase. Anyway, Marty McFly would approve, don’t you think?
Bee-tee-double-u, notice the difference in the photos? I finally got a proper lense! Hence, the outfit post and even some more to come.
Since I am rather preoccupied with the job hunt, I did not snap any pics of my outfits yet, just managed to wear some shoes. I just want to indicated that I have worn these shoes and will be sure to take photos eventually (after all the tension is gone).
Here are the shoes that I wore.
Converse sneakers (seen here)…what can be easier, right? 🙂 Wore them to the shop.
Bronx brown knee boots (seen here). Wore them on Valentine’s day while visiting my in laws. How romantic…well to be frank, I do not give a crap about that pink/red/card/flower/candy/slutty underwear day. I had a couple of glasses of good wine and a relaxing evening in cozy environment.
Bronx ankle boots (seen here). Since I am mostly at home, my main exercise is grocery shopping. Wore these to get some stuff for dinner. They are so damn loud. In the town itself is no biggie – noise level cancels them out. But in our quiet street and on the way to the shop it is like there is nothing else left in the universe, but the noise these shoes make oO. I still love them, they’ve been with me for about 4 years now.
Asos Totally Suede ankle boots(seen here). My current favorites. My feet are rather wide, so the round toes are just a perfect fit (gives enough space to squeeze my relatively large feet in) and the laces allow perfect adjustment for my high arches. (I am just so special with my wide feet and high arches oO). Anyway, the shoes are damn comfortable. I had walked in them all day and was not tired at all. And the craziest is, I got them for a ridiculous discount :).
It was a totally lazy Sunday. On Saturday we did quite a lot of cleaning in the house (including getting rid of expired food and defrosting the fridge…ick…), so on Sunday we just watched Battlestar Galactica and were lazy for the most part of the day).
Outfit corresponds to my mood, which is – “I just couldn’t be bothered…”
I put on my current favourite grey jersey top over my husband’s t-shirt, put on jeans, converse and a snugly long cardigan instead of a jacket.
Oufit: top – ASOS, t-shirt – fruit of the loom, jeans – Esprit, shoes – Converse, cardigan – Only, earrings – from the fair in Vilnius.
Closer look at earrings. They are supposedly made of Venecian glass…
Signature “bye bye feet” shot. And evidence of Autumn.
