That’s right, yo! (I’ve been watching way too many episodes of Breaking Bad). Well not really. No matter how open to all the weirdness that is fashion I am, I still cannot get on board with the “classic” crocs. Though the new models I saw are actually not bad at all. But that is totally off the point.
Continuing the outfits from the botanical garden, I give you – crocodiles and palms.
This skirt happened almost two years ago with Versace for H&M. I hadn’t managed to wear it last summer. But I made sure that it did not lay around my closet this year. Silk in summer – very important. And how about those metal corners! Oh the attention to detail…
I went the easy way with the outfit – white t-shirt – done. Plus, you cannot overstretch your brain in the heat, while making too many complicated decisions. So the easy way – totally justifiable. The bag and shoes are from yesterday’s post, because – see previous sentence.
The bracelet is from ADR for H&M collection and is pretty flashy for my taste. But I managed to squeeze it in a couple of outfits this summer.
And last but not least – the shoes! Crocheted Toms. I am insanely happy with them – were my hand down favorite shoes this summer – proper ventilation – also very important!
I have no idea why, but cactuses (cacti!) seemed fitting in this post, so enjoy:
and some more…
Outfit: t-shirt – Esprit, skirt – Versace for H&M, shoes – Toms, Bag – vintage, Bracelet – ADR for H&M
And here is the lazies outfit I wore in a while. I usually wear just work clothes every day and something like this happens only on the weekends. Wore this to grab a burger at our favorite diner.
Outfit: T-shirt – Diesel (c/o the husband), Pants – H&M, Sneakers – Converse, Bag – Kelly Moore
I am loving the 90s feel all over the virtual fashion world. Platform shoes, t shirts, distressed denim…My t-shirts are usually fitted to a degree…you know – women’s t-shirts. I decided to step a bit out of my comfort zone and embrace the 90s – as in big t-shirts. I used to wear such shirts with leggings back in the day.
Let us talk pants here as well. I saw theses weird thangs on H&M sale last year and since then they’ve been my favorite summer pants. They are part chinos part cargo pants part I have no idea what. The only mildly irritating thing is – they stretch too much and turn baggy. But oh well – comfort is the bestest.
And one more nod to the 90s – high tops. I’ve had a thing for high tops for a couple of years now and was looking for those perfect ones. These awesome converse are from Marimekko collection. Found them for a great price on asos back in February. Here is a little behind the scenes story about the collaboration.
A few more details of the outfit – the awesomeness that is this indigo bag (it is insanely comfortable to carry) and some more weirdness of my pants – zippers!
…some more of the t-shirt..
and the bag again…
Yellow is just because after I looked through photos, that I noticed yellow bench and flowers. Other than that, the outfit has nothing to do with yellow.
Actually the outfit has everything to do with the hat. I passed by this cute littlo shop in the old town. We were too early on a Saturday, so only window shopping was possible. This straw hat caught my attention immediately, but I could not really do anything about it. So I forgot all about it until we were in the town on another Saturday morning at a more decent hour. I tried it on then and there and of course I had to buy it. And of course I had to wear it the same day and since the weather was unexpectedly warm and we planned to go somewhere anyway I saw THE opportunity.
The door in the picture on the right can wait until I am finished blabbering on about the outfit. It is there just for the visual balance.
So, what is going on here outfit wise. First of all the in-yo-face floral pants. Of course it is not so in-yo-face when you live in the blogosphere, but believe me – those babies earned me a lot of disapproving looks. I’m sure once I wear them to work, I will get even more. Then my impractically white ballerinas. I must say – approved. Comfortable, really well done with a lot of attention to detail. I just got a bit of a blister on the heel, which is totally expected with new shoes.
Simple white v-neck t-shirt and a jean jacket, since i could not come up with anything else. And of course THE HAT and a straw clutch, so the hat would not be totally out of the context. THE HAT actually reminds me a bit of a bonnet from 1850 or smth. I was browsing for a picture of a bonnet to at least try and show what I mean by that aand found this weirdly cool website for costume supplies. So there you have it.
And ta-da – the new glasses. Frame – Moschino. I think they deserve a separate post.
Outift details: pants – H&M, t-shirt – Esprit, jacket – Sisley, shoes – Pretty Ballerinas, clutch- the Body Shop and the HAT – Seeberger.
Ah, and the door – awesome isn’t it?
So this is crap what has happened to Shoeperwoman. What is up with the universe? Lately I find myself often observing all kinds of weirdness and thinking people = shit (please excuse my French). So much wrong and mean is all around, what the hell? I always tended to trust people, but I guess nowadays it is just being naive…Because that’s what happens when you believe in good in people…trust no one. It is sad.
So, to help Shoeperwoman in her quest for justice, I am posting this weekend’s outfit feat. my pink Blowfish flats and linking to her website 🙂
Outfit: t-shirt – Retro jeans, jeans – Vertus, bangles – my standard set from all over, sunnies – Polaroid.
Above you see a typical example of personal style blogging – nice posing, nice background, average outfit. And below is a typical example of me, because why go through life seriously, right? Let’s bring some silliness into this world and try and stay positive.
Some usual blah blah blah about my clothes. This t shirt is one of my favorites. I like how new things you buy at a store can look so retro. I just loooove this kind of t shirts. Also wearing my ancient pair of jeans, which I managed to take to the tailor after two years of them lying around in my closet – they needed a new zipper. This is my bestest pair of jeans – so amazingly comfortable and look gooooood. I am happy to have salvaged them from the dark and gloomy place that is my closet.
And here is a detail shot of my t shirt.
I had a couple of friends visiting this weekend and while showing them around managed to make some pictures of my outfit.
Outfit: scarf and coat – Esprit, shoes – Asos, bag – Takko, tights – cannot remember. Not visible: skirt – Esprit, stripped sweater – Zara and t-shirt – New Yorker.
The shoes are…there are not words to describe. They are so beautiful, and the price I paid, makes them astonishing 😀 Original price was 110 pounds and I got them for 33! The heel is perfectly proportioned with the shape and they look great. AND they do not hurt my feet at all and are so comfortable. I walked around in them all day and evening(no band aids!). Even some accidental dancing happened. And all this didn’t result in any blisters. So…I’m in love.
Originally there were two colours: the one above and another one, hm..copper would be the best to describe. I really liked them both, but decided, since I have knee boots of similar colour I will go for the colder one with contrasting shoe laces 🙂 But I think both pairs would have found their place in my wardrobe.
And here are more Autumn colours.
Hope you had a nice weekend as well. I still need rest 😀
It was a totally lazy Sunday. On Saturday we did quite a lot of cleaning in the house (including getting rid of expired food and defrosting the fridge…ick…), so on Sunday we just watched Battlestar Galactica and were lazy for the most part of the day).
Outfit corresponds to my mood, which is – “I just couldn’t be bothered…”
I put on my current favourite grey jersey top over my husband’s t-shirt, put on jeans, converse and a snugly long cardigan instead of a jacket.
Oufit: top – ASOS, t-shirt – fruit of the loom, jeans – Esprit, shoes – Converse, cardigan – Only, earrings – from the fair in Vilnius.
Closer look at earrings. They are supposedly made of Venecian glass…
Signature “bye bye feet” shot. And evidence of Autumn.
Yesterday our family and the family of our friends decided to have a little trip to a nearby town (about 50 km away). Turned out, it was wine tasting weekend there and it was swarming with people, plus the weather was really kind too. We did not get much of wine to taste, except for this special type of wine, which one must drink within 8 days (we’ve got ourselves two bottles), oh well.
Anyway, outfit pics did not turn out too well, but we made some nice photos of a town and it’s surroundings. It is such a darn cute place. All the old town is within old city walls.
But since it was a bit too crowded, we got outside the walls after lunch and took a walk near vinyards and the river.
I am wearing: top – Aboriginal, capris(shorts?) – United Colours of Benetton, sandals – Oasis, bag – Roxy (from EBay), earrings – Asos, bangles – my standart set of bangles from Lithuania, Russia, India and Germany.
My earrings would always turn their pretty side away, so needed to hold them for the picture 🙂 Nevermind the droopy expression.

So, I’ve gone to Berlin this weekend for my friend’s surprise birthday party. Just some pictures for now, stories – a bit later. All I can tell that we walked A LOT. Since mah man and some other people were in Berlin for the first time, naturally all touristy sightseeing was a must 🙂
I am wearing t-shirt – Aboriginal, jeans and belt – Esprit, bag – vintage, shoes – blowfish, bangles – from India and Lithuania, earrings – from India.
And here in the Tacheles squat (more on that in another post) all tired. Top – Mango, shorts – Broadway, belt – from a dress by H&M, sandals – Oasis, bag – vintage, earrings (you cannot see here) – gift from my grandma. Mah man – t- shirt and shorts from Esprit, shoes – Converse, sunnies – Polaroid.
More photos of our trip to come.
P.S. while we were in Berlin my tripod had arrived – YAY! Now I can make proper photos on my own 😀
As I wrote on Sunday, I will share some info about my husband-to-be’s outfits too 🙂 The photos are from the same day, when we went to take pictures to Paffendorf.
Levitashun – you’re doin’ it rite. I took of my wedge sandals and changed into espadrilles for comfy jumpin’.
T-shirt, shorts and belt – Esprit, shoes – Converse, bracelet – Fossil, necklace – from a vendor in Palanga (a littlo town by the Baltic sea).
Mah man – Taz mode (remember the cute tasmanian devil from Looney toons? :)). Sneakers’ laces look like cute wings 😀 Gives the impression of Hermes’ shoes or smth.
T-shirt in detail. We call it the Monday t-shirt, because of owls’ eyes.
And here was supposed to be a heart, but after I looked at the picture on my computer I now see that it looks like something else…looks like the tree is mooning us 😀
